The Best Way To Connect With New Bars & Liquor Stores
One of the questions we get asked all the time from brewery owners is "how can I best connect with new bars & liquor stores?" If you run a brewery, you know the trouble that comes with having to prospect new locations to carry your beer. Reaching out to places on social media or over the phone is monotonous and you never really know if their customers will even end up buying your beer.
What we've found is that utilizing social media and your brewery website is the best way to connect with bars and expand your distribution to a new, relevant location. We're not talking about a ton manual labor here - you can essentially get your current customers to do the referring for you. Here's how you do it:
Website Landing Page + Contact Form
Whichever platform you use to build your website, you should have the ability to create a separate landing page. Landing pages allow you to create specific pages on your website that have their own unique call to action. If you're trying to find new locations to distribute your beer to, create a landing page on your site with a form that allows customers to request their favorite shopping/drinking locations.
It should look a little like this:

All responses from this form will get sent directly to your email address. Not only will you have a list of locations that your current customers are shopping at, but you'll also:
Grow your email list by having customers provide their email
Drive traffic to your site, which helps with remarketing
Increase the likelihood of making a sale
Save time by not having to cold call
Have the ability to see where your customers are shopping the most
When you feel like you've compiled a good enough list to reach out to these locations, you'll be able to call these locations and say:
"Hey, I've got a list of X amount of people that want you to carry our beer, can we distribute to you?"
More often than not, if you've got the 'receipts', it's an easy sell.
Try this method if you're looking to start expanding your distribution area. It will do wonders! It will save you a ton of time and energy, and help grow your customer base in the process.
